July 6-11.
This summer, Dutilh Youth Ministries will strive to make a difference in the lives of the least, the last, and the lost. We will be taking a mission trip to the city of Philadelphia. This trip will be on July 6-11. It will be hosted by M-Fuge, a very reputable para-church organization. M-Fuge combines elements of small-group Bible study and worship with hands-on mission experiences in cities across the United States. Students and adults have the opportunity to choose between various ministry tracks. This is a very unique experience. Most mission trips for young people only offer two forms of service; construction and working with children. Although these trips definitely make a big difference, it can be difficult for individuals whose passions and abilities thrive in other areas of service. M-Fuge offers 5 different types of service opportunities on their trips:
-Creative: Working with Arts, Music, and Drama
-Social: Serving in Food Banks, Soup Kitchens, and working with the Homeless
-Children's: Offering Children’s Ministries, like Vacation Bible School
-Games and Recreation: Serving in a local YMCA
-Painting, Construction and Yard-work.
In the evening, students enjoy quality worship, camp-wide fellowship activities and church group devotions.
Housing arrangements are quite accommodating and secure. We will be staying in the dorms of Eastern University, right in the heart of the city. During a few scheduled leisure times, we can take advantage of their pool, rec. center, and tennis courts.
Students will hear from a special guest speaker during the week and experience quality programming and worship during the evenings.
Our ministry will be working hard in the spring to raise the $8,000 needed to take this trip. If you have a heart for missions and for teens, we could use your help. Even the smallest donation will make a BIG DIFFERENCE in the lives of teenagers, and the less-fortunate Philadelphia community. If you are willing to donate to this trip, please send your donations in the form of a check made out to "Dutilh Church-Youth." Please make sure to write "Mission Trip" on the bottom of the check. Checks can be sent to the below address, and thank you for the support!
